Day 6

Today we spent most of the morning waiting for dad to fix the water tank mount that had broken the previous day. Once dad had finished we had a look at The Dig Tree. You cant actually see the words. It is confusing which tree is actually The Dig Tree because there was a tree with B LXV(camp B 65) which supposably used to have dig on one of the branches, but now people say that it was the tree next to it called Brahe’s dig tree that actually had dig on it. Next to it, there is a tree with Burke’s face carved into it and his initials that was carved into it 40 years after Burke and Wills and can still be seen today. We then left The Dig Tree and drove to Innamincka where we stayed the night.
