Today we saw our first glimpse of the big red rock. We left Erldunda early in the morning and headed along the Lasseter Highway. We had lunch at Mt Connor Lookout, at first my brothers thought it was Ayers Rock but soon realised it wasn't. We then continued on. We first saw Ayres Rock at about 3:00 pm from almost 50 kilometers away. We stayed at Yulara where when not behind trees or hills you can see Ayres Rock.
