After breakfast we drove to Moonie the oil capital of Australia. The first bore hole was sunk in 1961. It went down 2000 meters into the ground and pumped up 237,000 litres per day. This is where we had lunch. We then drove to St. George. We stayed at St. George on the banks of the Balonne river next to the bridge. That night we had roasted marshmallows over a camp fire luckily because it got down to 5 degrees.
